Love pizza? This tour is for you. You’ll taste pizza in all its authentic and unexpected forms, from classic pizza al taglio to the iconic trapizzino, ending with a sit-down round pizza romana fresh out of the oven.

Then comes the sweet finale: artisanal gelato made daily with seasonal ingredients, in one of our very favorite gelaterie! 

Led by a local expert, this fun and flavorful experience takes you into a real Roman neighborhood where every bite has a story. Perfect for families and food lovers, available as both a private or group tour.

When It Runs

This experience runs from Tuesday to Saturday, depending on availability and holiday closing dates.

The tour runs in all weather conditions — rain, sun, or hail — so please dress appropriately for the season.

We can accommodate:

This is a leisurely walking tour.

Participants should be comfortable walking around 2 km (1.2 miles) at a relaxed pace and standing for short periods.

My cousin and I had the opportunity to take several private tours with Local Aromas during our visit to Rome. All were fabulous! Our Pizza & Gelato food tour with Chiara was fabulous. We had three different types of pizza while walking through the Prati neighborhood. The last stop for pizza was probably the best pizza I have ever eaten! Gelato was the perfect treat to end our tour! Chiara was the perfect guide and we really enjoyed getting to know her and her neighborhood!
