Sunrise Tour with Cappuccino and Local Pastry in Rome

We booked the Sunrise Rome Tour and were not sure what to expect. Let me tell you, we had the best time. Francesco picked us up and was ready and waiting at our hotel. He was super informative, really fun to talk to, but above all so so passionate. We spent the next few hours seeing the sights and taking photos and hearing some really wonderful stories and information We saw all the highlights and even some areas we had no idea about. Towards the end of the tour I didn’t want to leave, I could have spent hours more with Francesco. Not only did I leave with some incredible photos and amazing memories, but as we bid farewell, I felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend. Thank you for making our time in Rome all thst much more special!

Although we are not early morning people, we signed up for the sunrise tour of Rome as a way to have an overview of all of the sights in Rome. Christian picked us up at our hotel at 5 am and proceeded to do a 3 hour+ tour through the almost empty streets of Rome. We were able to visit the Pantheon, Forum, Coliseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain and many other places in a way that could not have happened later in the day. Christian exuded enthusiasm for the history and was a storehouse of knowledge about everything we saw. It was a great tour and one that we would recommend to anyone. Thank you.

We scheduled a Sunrise Tour and loved it! Christian, our guide, was so pleasant and knowledgeable. We were traveling with a tour company and went back to the group telling them how much we enjoyed this with Local Aromas!

I did the sunrise tour with my 7 year old daughter. I'll start by saying our guide Christian was the BEST! Of course it was the morning of a very popular bike race which caused the roads to be closing starting very early but Christian made sure he was always a step ahead of the closures without us feeling rushed at all. Seeing Rome that early in the morning, no crowds was truly something special. We were the only people at the Scalinata della Trinità dei Monti (Spanish Steps...I learned the true name on the tour 😉) Our favorite stop was The Aventine Keyhole, my daughter is still talking about it. We had to skip the breakfast part because my daughter was pretty tired and we had a big day ahead but I knew that would be hard for her going into it. Definitely my loss as I'm sure it would have been amazing but experiencing that with one of my children was the greatest gift. I am so thankful to have met Christian and heard his stories. An unforgettable experience that I would recommend to anyone going to Rome.

We did the sunrise tour and our guides, Francesco and Christian were exceptional. It was by far the best part of our vacation and we would recommend it to anyone. As a bonus, we told them we are both vegan, and they made sure we had options at the breakfast place. Well worth the money for this tour!

My husband and I did the sunrise tour or Rome. Let me just say, this was way beyond our expectations! Francesco was our guide and he was amazing! He truly has a love for Roma and it came through loud and clear! I can’t say enough good things about Francesco and Local Aromas! We will absolutely use them again when we return!

My family and I booked the sunrise tour of Rome and what an amazing experience! Being able to see Rome early in the morning without the crowds of people was awesome! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable giving us the history about each and every stop we made we couldn’t ask for anything more. Can’t forget about stopping for cappuccinos & pastries during the tour. I highly recommended tour it’s a must when visiting Rome. We absolutely loved our Sunrise tour! Marco was very sweet, knowledgeable and professional. We went to the major sites, including the Colosseum, Keyhole, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Vatican, Pantheon and more. The temperature was cool, little to no people and plenty of opportunities for pictures. We were also taken to a scenic overlook to watch the Sunrise as well as to a cafe for breakfast before being dropped back at our lodging. It was the absolute best way to see everything ❤️ 20/10 recommendation

Discovering Rome early in the morning with no crowds really makes a huge difference. Our guide Marco was awesome and gave great explanations and historical facts. Definitely would recommend this tour on the first day so that you can discover Rome while knowing what you’re looking at!

This was on the of the absolute highlights of our 2 week trip to Italy. Our tour guide, Francesco, was incredible! He was so knowledgeable about Rome and all of the sites that we visited. He weaved in the past with how the sites are currently used. We were able to see EVERYTHING before others even thought about waking up. With how busy Rome gets, this was invaluable and allowed us to use our 2 days in Rome more wisely. Would encourage anyone to take advantage of this sunrise tour opportunity!

We booked the sunrise tour to see all of the key sites before the crowds and learn about Roman history to kick off our first trip to Rome. This trip delivered that and so much more!! Cristiano was so kind, knowledgeable and fun, and showed us all of the best spots in Rome (both big sites and small sites we would have never known about). We had so much fun and Cristiano took the time to answer all of our questions. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Cristiano, this tour was the highlight of our 2 week trip in Italy and cannot wait to book another tour with him in the future!! Highly recommend this tour to everyone, we have been on so many tours over the years and this was by far the most incredible experience!! The Sunrise Tour of Rome was fabulous. Our guide, Alex, was knowledgeable and a terrific driver. If you don't particularly like crowds at outdoor places, like the Trevi Fountain, this is for you. Our group of 4 signed up for three tours with Local Aromas and we are so excited we did! Our first tour was the Aperitivo Tour with Jamila. What a great way to begin to know our bearings around Rome and learn about the wine and food culture. Jamila gave us the perfect introduction to Roman wine culture. She steered us away from tourist traps to authentic local spots where we felt relaxed and truly "in the know" by the end. The next morning was our Sunrise Tour with Christian. Worth every early-morning second! Christian’s historical knowledge is incredible, and having Rome’s iconic sites to ourselves before the crowds arrived was magical. We even had breakfast at a local bakery with croissants fresh out the oven. Pro tip: It’s fully customizable, so tell them what you want to see! Last but not least was probably one of the highlights of our trip - Castelli Romani Tour with Sara. Sara was absolutely amazing. If you want to experience the “local life” sign up for this tour. The sights and food were out of this world. Sara customized the trip for us and we had the BEST day!! The views, scenery, towns, lunch, and winery were 5 stars all day long. The Local Aromas Sunrise Tour is the best tour I’ve ever been on. Christian, our guide, was a lifelong resident of Rome and was very well versed in its history. It was raining the morning of our tour and he came armed with big umbrellas for us. He arrived right on time at 5:00 am in a pristine Mercedes van. We immediately took off on our journey. The day before, my husband and I had visited many of the major sites and couldn’t get near them for all the crowds. This morning was totally different. Not a soul in sight at the places we visited. Our pictures were fantastic. Christian talked to us about the history of Rome and Italy and showed us maps and things on his iPad so we had a clearer understanding of the history of the sites. We got out and walked around the sites, not just a drive by. Halfway through the tour we stopped for a cappuccino and a pastry at one of his favorite local shops. It was delicious and authentic. I cannot recommend this tour more highly. My husband and I agreed that it was worth every penny and the highlight of our two week Italy trip. You absolutely will not want to miss this tour. I have included pictures of just a few places we visited.

I took the sunrise tour of Rome and it will be one of the highlights of my life! My driver/guide picked me up at my hotel and our first stop was the Trevi Fountain at dawn. It was quiet and only a couple of other tourists. We then proceeded to catch all of the major sites with the driver pulling right up close, minimal walking. My photos are incredible and I got a very informative history lesson on all the places we visited. I could not recommend this tour enough!

Christian was our amazing guide. He had so much knowledge of Roman history and was such a fun guide. We did this at the end of our time in Rome and it really tied all we learned in a lovely experience. Recommend this as a must do experience

I don’t know where to start. We were staying in Rome as a family of 4 for a week and absolutely hands down, this was the best tour. Christian was an absolute pleasure to have as our driver/guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite and friendly. He took us everywhere we wanted to go to and suggested places we hadn’t thought of visiting or even knew about. He was a fountain of knowledge, and nothing was an issue. To visit these beautiful places before sunrise was magical - my favourite was the trevi fountain and watching the sunrise come up over the Roman forum. The tour over ran which wasn’t a problem to us or Christian. In fact, none of us wanted the tour to end. My daughters (11 and 15 years old) said this was their favourite tour which is incredible, as anyone who has teenagers will know moaning is their strength. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to tour around Rome. Book it early into your stay, then you will have the opportunity to go to all the recommended places Christian suggests.

If you want a very different tour without the crowds this is the tour early morning tour with Christian was really informative and enjoyable we had no crowds and heat which was great so many great pics with no people and Christian gave us all the history very informative would recommend and do again thanks great communication all the way through as well
