Everything You Need to Know

This experience runs every week, depending on holiday closing dates. There are two available schedules: Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday to Monday.

The tour runs in all weather conditions — rain, sun, or hail — so please dress appropriately for the season.

Day 1: Walking Sunrise Tour, Food Market Tour, Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tasting & Cooking Class

Your experience begins at sunrise with a guided walk through Rome’s quiet early-morning streets, followed by breakfast at a local bar. You’ll then visit a neighborhood food market with tastings and enjoy a casual lunch. After some free time to relax or explore, the day ends with an extra virgin olive oil tasting, a hands-on cooking class, and a family-style dinner.

Day 2: Cultural Tour, Roman Street Food Tour, Sunset Walk, Aperitivo & Jewish Roman Cuisine

Start the morning with a traditional pastry and coffee before heading out for a guided cultural walk through one of Rome’s most charming areas. Lunch features iconic Roman street food, followed by free time to shop, rest, or continue exploring. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a sunset walk, an aperitivo ritual, and a dinner highlighting the rich flavors of Jewish Roman cuisine.

Day 3: Cultural Tour, Roman Pizza, Wine Tasting & Family “Arrivederci” Dinner

Begin with a relaxed Italian breakfast before stepping into Rome’s hidden underground history during a guided cultural visit. After a scenic walk and a Roman pizza lunch, you’ll have free time to soak in the city center. Your experience ends with a farewell wine tasting and dinner — the perfect way to celebrate three unforgettable days in Rome.

If you enjoy trying local dishes and feel comfortable with a traditional Roman-style menu, you will love the food experiences included in this tour. We do our best to accommodate dietary needs within the limits of Roman cuisine.

We can accommodate:

  • Vegetarian diets
  • Lactose-free adaptations
  • Non-alcoholic drink preferences (always available)

We are unable to accommodate:

  • Gluten-free diets
  • Vegan diets
  • Kosher diets
  • Severe nut allergies (food activities are not certified nut-free)

If you enjoy exploring at a relaxed pace and love discovering a city on foot, this experience will be perfect for you. The best way to experience Rome is by walking, which means each day includes moderate distances of 5–10 km (3–6 miles or more), often on cobblestones, with some stairs and occasional hills along the way.

Our sunrise and sunset walking experiences are always done entirely on foot — rain, shine, or hail — because it’s the only way to truly appreciate Rome’s side streets, quiet corners, and early-morning magic.

You will also spend periods of time standing during cultural and archaeological visits.

This experience is not suitable for:

  • Guests with significant mobility limitations
  • Travelers who are not comfortable with extended walking
  • Families with very young children
